  3. Yes, but i do that when i wake up in the middle of my sleep, not after nightmares or dreams though.

  4. ya! u were probably in a mini dream and u like "fell" or something and it just made u jump......

  5. yes but it isnt when im sleeping

i could be on the computer

and suddenly get frightened at something i dont even know

  6. yeah, it feels like i just fell off something and it wakes me right up.

  7. Actually...i feel that too...coz i feel thers someone in my room (i sleep alone...really freaks me out)!!!!!!!!

  8. Ohmygosh, sometimes I'll hear a small noise, one that I can't seem to connect with anything. Like...no that's not my cat, it's not the wind...I can't figure out what it is and I'll get like a shock of hot all through me then be like frozen in fear till I fall asleep. I'm not sure why this happens. I mean I'm not scared of the dark, I can walk around in the dark all the time. but just when I hear strange noises I get a bit of a scare!

  9. i do!!!

    its weird, i kinda twitch

    lol

    i am aware when it

    happens, but i somehow continue

    with my dream

  10. Well it could be several things...good news though, it's probably not serious. Do you drink a lot of caffiene during the day or take any sort of cold medicine on a regular basis. It could be a side effect of an increased amount of a stimulant in your system. OR have you ever had this feeling during the day? Does it get better if you take a deep breath and calm down? If that's the case it may be a from of a "panic attack". My father had the same type of thing for a while when he was much younger and my husband has a much more severe form of them. The good news is that if you can figure a way to calm down or relax, they usually get better.

  11. Yes I have felt that like a jerk or jolt. I think in  physics it means change acceleration. Maybe your body and mind adjusting to sleep. or different stage of sleep.

  12. YES! It's like I'm having a thought about jump off of something, and all of a sudden, the shock.

  13. yeah i get it too sometimes :) lol . except my heart doesn't beat fast  ....i just randomly get that and i wake up ..then sleep again

  14. Actually I experience the same thing. For me its right as I'm beginning to fall asleep, just as the mind goes from conscious thought to that more hazy stage before full on sleep. When the brain wave patterns change.

I've heard before that its relatively common, the body is confused and thinks its dying, and so tries to wake the person up... sharp spike in heartrate, etc. I guess to resist giving in. I'm not a doctor, needless to say. But that's how I understand it.

  15. I have this when i think i have fallen, it is worrying lol.
