  1. I've always found time for reading.  I have even less time now than I had when I was still in school and still manage to "squeeze" some time for reading in my schedule.

  2. Nope!

My english teacher keeps telling us we should be reading 1 per fortnight, then giving us loads of work to do so we have no time.

  3. Yep I find was to squeeze it in. Reading books is my favorite hobby I always make time for it. I read more on the weekends than I do during the week because I have more time then.

  4. I used to always have time for my personal reading. This year though, I don't, because my literature teacher has me reading a different book, with lengths from 200 pages to 600, every week. x-x

  5. Absolutely.

You need to take time out to read something for yourself.

I highly recommend 'Z for Zachariah' to all ages (but I read it at around age 16.)

You can also enjoy non-fiction books that don't involve study.  I particularly like true crime, the paranormal and natural therapies.

  6. I used to read all the time IN school, usually when everyone was meant to be listening to the teacher or they were doing something on the board. So they'd be teaching and I'd have my head in a book.

Most of my teachers either didn't notice or just left me to it, because whenever they asked me a question I'd always managed to keep track of what was being talked about at the same time. I got through a lot of books by reading in class while the teacher wasn't looking.

My English teacher always used to catch me out though...

  7. When I was in high school yes. Now I am married with two kids and I am going to college,  so I barely have time to read for pleasure when I get a break from school.

  8. Absolutely. I always read for pleasure while I was in school. I didn't watch much TV and we didn't have video games. Once I was out of school and done with my homework, I read.

  9. Depends what year of school. High school- yes I always had the time to read what I wanted to. College- Nope- I was an English major and would have minimum of five books a week to read! It was crazy I would bring my books to the gym and read on the treadmill I was so crunched for time. I gave up running or using weights.

  10. yeah, when I don't have homeworks and such,

  11. Agree entirely with Sela C.

Reading is a uniquely human activity and we should do all we can to cultivate  and exercise it.
