  1. Get a bowl of luke warm water fill it up about half way depending on the size of bowl. and put it in there cage for about half in hour. If they want to bathe then they will. Do this two time a week bird are clean animals. they dont like to be dirty at all. good luck

  2. Hello.

If you put a bowl of water in the cage, the keets will know how to take bath by themseves , my birds always do that . TM.

  3. yes...birds are very clean animals. or at least like to stay clean. you can use a bird bath in the cage or i use a spray bottle. mist over the cage as a rain mist. they may not be used to it but eventually birds love it. make sure the water is warm.

  4. No your never suppost to bath parakeets. You could leave out a bowl of water and see if they bath themselves in it, its no big deal if they don't. But if you just grabbed one and tried to dunk it in water then its going to be a long time before it trust you again. Don't worry about it, your birds seem to be in good hands

  5. it is good that you are hand training them they are such enjoyable little pets when they are tame. yes, most parakeets like to be bathed, but before you do that, practice taking them out of the cage. The most likely thing is that they  will not even want to come out but just keep on trying. MAKE SURE DOORS ARE CLOSED WINDOW ARE CLOSED AND COVERED AND MIRRORS ARE COVERED AS WELL because you don't want them to fly away. take them out of the cage once a day. it will be hard to catch them especially when their wing aren't clipped so what help with catching them is turning of the lights. they will not have the urge to move as much. so once their tame, to bathe them just get a bowl witch cant easily be knocked over, has a good grip for them to sit on, just put them on there, and wait, it might take them a while to discover the water and bathe in it but once hey discover it they'll love it. and if you want to bathe it without it being very tame, just get one of those spray pumps , and spray water gently on your parakeet.

  6. It is actually good for them to bathe. The best way to do it is fill a spray bottle with luke warm water and just spray them for a few minutes, don't completely drown them, just enough to get them wet.

When they get used to being handled you may also take them into the shower too. good luck.

  7. all good answers, ours used to like to sit in the kitchen sink with the faucet on a luke warm trickle so it splatters a little.

  8. spray it with a spray bottle in the cage. birds love to have baths. don't put soap in the water!
