  1. It doesn't matter how big the horse is, or how old you are, as long as you are in the class that you are ment to be in (your age group) then it is fine.  Carefully read the rules on the entry forms.

  2. im 14 and have competed high level dressage on 16+hh warmbloods. I live in Australia

Im sure its allowed, because young people can have just as much talent as adults :)

    Good luck

  3. I help to run a local show in the west midlands uk and we have specific class for jumping, dressage, and ridden for under 14 so by all means you can compete now we even have kids of 5-6 competing (in hand) and we run qualifier classes for youngsters as well so go ahead you should be fine xx

  4. No! And thank god, otherwise I would not be competing. Ohh! Say hi to the leprachauns and irish draughts for me in Ireland! (Sorry to be a stupid american, but im really A.D.D right now and cant help but be anything but that).

  5. I think it depends on what you'll be competing in...I'm sure that there is some division or class you are allowed to compete in though. (I live in the US, but this rule applies to most countries...I'm pretty sure I saw some teens competing on ponies in the Dublin Horse Show when I visited Ireland, though, so I'm sure you can find something! ^_^)...

ADD: oh, well I'd still think that there are classes for under 16s competing on horses...your choices will be a little narrowed, but there should still be some classes that permit people younger than sixteen to compete on larger horses.

  6. you can compeete at any age i was a a championship in wales and two 4 yr olds were against me...oh and living in ireland is probaly better because there is a lot more horses out there than england...

  7. At local level; there are many competition you can enter. Your age does not matter in any of the jumping classes ( beginners, novice, intermediate, open and clear round.) Also the majority of showing classes, age is not a problem. Examples include; Best ridden, best turned out, best ridden, working hunter & the list goes on. Just remember that this is " LOCAL SHOW ONLY" For affiliated shows, the rules are very different, and your age does count.

  8. you should be able to beause i do amiture horse racing and im only 15

  9. Im sure u can

  10. im not sure depends on what competitions ur tlkin about, Some classes have certain devisions at important shows check out the planflit for the show

  11. There a various classes for competition.  You don't have to be a certain age, but you do have to be entered in your class.

  12. well im not sure in ireland, i live in Australia and i am 13 and i enter comps!? but it might be different in ireland, good luck!
