Do you have to be 18 to buy a lighter?

I dont turn 18 for another year and i really need a lighter i lost some others, usually i would get my lighters from Friends but now im just going to buy one myself instead do i have to be 18 to purchase a Lighter?

im 17 and you can buy lighters at like wallmart or shoppers drug mart.. just have your drivers liscense (there gonna ask for ID) OR if your lucky your school might have a plaza near buy that sells them to kids under 18 i was lucky at my skool we had a plaza near by and the guy at the shop sold lighters, cigs and beer to kids under 18.. this year though apparently the store that was selling it got closed down.. so it sucks for the younger kids.. i graduated this year and am turning 18 in like 3 months so its no biggie for me.

i depends....at a dépanneur (convenience store) it says 18+ on the lighter stand but when I go to Pharmaprix (drugstore) I've bought like a three pack of lighters for like 4 bucks and they don't ask for id's at all...
