Do you have to be 18 to have a clothing line?

Question

I want to start a clothing line. Do you HAVE to be 18 or can you be any age as long as you have potential. Also, do get your clothing line out do you send sketches and stuff to a businesses main office, like steve and barry's main office or something? WHere do you send your designs?

make the clothing yourself. then sell it. ebay, craigslist, put ads in the paper, etc.

In my opinion, it seems that the younger a person with initiative is, the more a business executive will consider enthusiasm from the younger person.  However, maybe a parent's permission is necessary for the younger person to start in business.  If you are starting your own clothing line without any help, you ought to be any age you want... from what I understand and I don't know the business details.  Yet, if you want financial backing from another company, you MAY need your parent's permission.  

But, even if you have to wait until you're eighteen, starting with initiative NOW is better for you in the long run.

Well no, you can draw some designs and create a portfolio, then take it to whatever store you are interested in selling them, tell them you wish to sell your designs at their store/s. If they're really good it might go nationwide. This is unlikely though.

so im a fashion student and i go to FIDM the school the girl from the hills goes to but um you can be any age with the potent and money, money is the key thing, to start a line, it takes around 300,000 to set everything up, well thats if you want your own store. and if you want to look at who designs look for over seas textile mills, its cheaper to do over seas, but be original dont use china, or asian places, everyone does
