If yes, then do the ask for ID if you look like an adult? Or does it depend on what hotel you're going in/not really matter?

  1. Do it by phone, no problems, or ask the girl your taking there to do it.

  2. You will have to show ID when you check in, no matter how old you look.  If you are not paying with a credit card, you may have to pay more, and a good hotel may be hesitant to rent to you.  Smaller motels may be your best option without a credit card.  You do not necessarily have to reserve a room in advance, depending on the hotel or motel you choose.  Many hotels always have rooms available, especially in the off season - tourist season may be a different matter.  Check online for hotels in the area you are interested in and you will get more information.

  3. You will have to show ID when you check in.

If you don't have a credit card you'll need to give them a deposit.

You normally do not need a reservation. I travel a lot and don't have a credit card so I can't make a reservation. I have never had an issue. The advantage of a reservation is that it locks in the price of the room. Some hotels will take a reservation without a credit card but they are rare.

If you don't care about the room and are desperate you can try one of the stripper motels. They are cheap $39-$49 a night and probably care less about IDs. The one in Ottawa is called the Preston I think (something with a P in Vanier).

  4. You can't reserve a Hotel room without a credit card....I doubt that you could rent a room without a card either.
