  1. Definately not!!!  Maybe alone, but with an adult no.  I'm a young teen and I went on a cruise last year!

  2. You may have to be 21 to reserve. They make cruises for families (Disney).  I don't know what happens if you're younger than 21 though. You may have to talk to individual cruise companies like Royal Caribbean and Carnival.

  3. Unless you are traveling with your parents, you must be 21 years old.  If you are under 21, you must have someone 25 or older sharing your cabin and that person must be a guardian or parent.

Why?  In the past, when most cruiselines let younger people cruise alone, they didn't behave well.  Consumed alchol, got smashed, puking all over the place, annoying other guests, destroying property, throwing chairs and other items overboard and generally behaving like idiots.

The cruiselines decided the liability was too high to permit immature, underage people to cruise unaccompanied...so they changed the rules.

Rightly so....it's bad enough being on board with a bunch of morons who misbehave because their parents aren't keeping an eye on them.

  4. if you are married and/or have a family (you have to have proof) then they will allow you yo go on a cruise under 21 without parents/guardian.

otherwise its 21 or 22 with most lines and if you are not that age then someone in ur cabin must be 25.

its definatly a good idea, my friends and i went on our first cruise after college when we were 22 and we actually had to fill out reports against fellow passengers harrasing us.. anything could have happend if we didnt have our head on our shoulders... though cruises are basicly safe stuff does happend and having age restrictions help situations out and help prevent other siutations from happening.

  5. you can go on a cruise, but to book the cruise you must be 21 and have someone 25 or more staying in your cabin with you.

in the past some under age folks didn't behave well, drinking, causing problems with the other guests, noise problems, so the cruiselines decided they didn't want to have that liability.

therefore they tightened up on their policies regarding people under age traveling in groups with out parents/guardians/legal adults.

have a good cruise if you go.

  7. I took my niece last year.  She was 18.  But I'm not sure, if your sailing without adults.  Try talking to a travel agent or I cruised with Carnival and they have a really good website.  You maybe able to find your answer there.  Good Luck and have a great time if you are able to go.
