Well brokers are never the smartest people in the world! That is why we refer to them as "meatheads." They usually were the football players in school who always were interested in finance. Like pseudo finance, as in nothing too math intensive. They then go to a second rate college and move on to work at some brokerage firm..

It depends what you mean by wanker. Do you mean literally? I fail to see the correlation either way.
