Do you have to be a fan for your home town team?

So do you actually have to be a fan of your home town team? I really hate the Bulls and all the other Chicago teams including the Bears, the Cubs the Sox. I am a Warriors fan and a Jaguars and Phillies fan how about you?

no i have friends and teamates the rout for the Lakers and Boston, really not that many of my friends like the Hornets, they only rout for them cause it hometown team

No you don't have to be a fan of your hometown team. Im from Atlanta,GA and my favorite team is the Phoenix Suns.

No, you don't HAVE to be.  If you live in LA, I actually reccommend against it.  But, seriously root for anyone you like.  But once you pick your teams, stick with them or people will call you a bandwagon fan.

You dont have to be a fan of your hometown team. It is more fun because then you can see them play more often. I will always stick with the Cavs, Browns, and Indians. No matter how sucky they are, I remember going to my first games and everyone knows that true fans stick with their teams even when they arent doing so well. Cleveland has the best fans ever! But I know a lot of people like the steelers that live in cleveland... thats not cool. haha!

No.  This is a football analogy but I see a ton of Cowboys and Pats fans in DC, which is supposed to be Skins territory.
