Do you have to be a good cook to attend le cordon bleu?

No prior cooking experience. Will this affect if i am accepted or not to the school?

  1. Nope, they start you from scratch!  They'd probably rather you not have any bad habits to begin with.

    Oh, and classes are taught in French.


  2. I think that some good basic knowledge of cooking is essential before you tackle this as cordon bleu chefs are very advanced.

  3. No - you are there to learn.  they are there to teach you

    I interviewed with them a few weeks ago.  They want to see passion.  they want to be convinced you want to learn, live and breathe everything culinary.

    I really dont see them turning anyone away.   Just explain your passion for cooking and why you chose their school and Im sure you'll have no problems being accepted!

  4. All Le Cordon Bleu schools care about is $$$$$$$$$$$$$.  I suggest you do a little research before you decide to go there.
