Do you have to be a resident of Los Angeles to apply for or work as an LAPD Officer?

Like if you live in San Diego, can you still become a LAPD Officer?

No.  My dad was LAPD and we did not live in L.A.  Neither did any of the other officers we knew.  

But an Diego is long commute.  But go ahead and apply. and find a good place to move closer.

You are not reqired to be a reisident to apply, or to work.

Not to apply or take the PO training. But LAPD and your car will like it

if you move closer, after graduation. Good Luck the city can always use another good officer. My Best
