Someone told me that you have to be a us citizen to own a corp of LLC?

An S-corp's ownership is limited to US citizens or residents.

LLCs can be taxed a number of ways so it depends upon your tax election.  Most taxpayers who form LLCs are simply wasting their money as it does them little or no good at all.

Only if you are forming an S-corp.  Citizenship is not required for the others.
