I cant learn because i'm allergic to chlorine and don't live near a sea or anything! I'm slightly considering joining the army, wanting to be a soldier, but don't know if I could!

  1. Let me set the record straight.  There is absolutely NO swimming in basic training.  At no point does anyone ask you if you know how to swim.

You WILL be asked for allergies.

  2. Well then don't join the Marine Corps.

  3. nope a lot of people cant swim in military even navy isnt that sad

  4. Im not sure where you hail from.

Over here in Australia you must be able to swim 50m and dredge for 2 minute in the Army.

Of course the lopp hole for the 50m is, they dont tell you what stroke you have to do, as i bad swimmer myself, all they are gonna get is my doggy paddle. lol

Even if they do require you to swim, they will teach you the basics which will get you passed the test if there is any. But i woul inform them that your allergic to chlorine.

  5. They will teach you. I have no dought.

There is no chlorine in the sea.

Do not take that word "slightly" lightly.

Once you sign on that "dotted line."

You will then, be Government Property. <}:-})
