Do you have to be born with that really high pitched voice??

I can only hit D, but like how can I get one of those really strong high pitch voices?? Like, Mariah Carey's voice could probably even be used as a ultra sound... and that really inspires me =P thanks

  1. It takes TALENT and it takes TRAINING and it takes YEARS of PRACTICE... you can't do it on your own for free.

  2. Yes you need talent, but also if you have good training [expensive] then they might be able to teach you how to get your voice higher, however they might only be able to teach you how to use your voice.

  3. spose depends on ur voice, training?

i would be concerned if a dude could go that high, yikes.

if i were you be happy wid wot u got, some of us cannot sing perfectly to worry bout notes. lol

  4. well being gifted is useful for having a really nice soprano tone but if you take singing lessons from a skilled teacher, practice every day, and choose music that will not strain your voice and possibly injure it then eventually you can dovelope the voice you relly want. dont rush at it and try and sing higher than you can straight away slowly edge your self to higher notes only after the previous note is comfortable to sing.

I hope you find this useful and become very talented in near future

  5. YES I THINK ONE SHOULD BE GIFTED

  6. you're either born wit a natrual head voice or a natural chest voice. With the right training you could be born with a natrual chest voice, yet be considered a soprano as an adult.

  7. Nope, i have a relatively low speaking voice and i am a soprano opera singer. You have to have talent, no doubt about that. You also cannot completely change your range but you can increase it by tonnes of practise. For a really strong voice you MUST support it if you don't want to strain it, suck in your stomach for really high notes and you will see (or hear) the difference. Also try to sing the high notes as part of the phrase, almost as if you are singing in a straight line. Your range will increase as you progress and you sound like a soprano (or maybe a mezzo-soprano) right now. Get lessons if you don't have them and they will  improve your range. You can't make your voice into something else but you sound like you could be a soprano with some training. Just keep practising those high notes! Hope this helped!

  8. You don't have to be gifted.  $12 buys a CD featuring almost any soprano.  You can then lip sync to the music.

  9. If you want to sound like Sarah Brightman you do not need to be gifted. If you want to sound like Eleanor Steber then yes, you certainly would have to be!

  10. You can stretch your range a bit with training, but ultimately you are what you are.

  11. Well, yes and no. Yes, you have to be born with a nice voice, and to be able to hit those notes. But some of those who CAN hit those notes don't learn to do so until after they take lessons. What Mariah Carey sings is called the whistle voice, which is similar to the male falsetto. If you are already hitting a D above high C there's a good chance you could learn to go higher, but you'd need to take lessons and get some help. You could really hurt your voice trying to do it on your own. And there's a chance you are NOT one of those people who can access their whistle voice, which would just put more strain on your voice. So if it's something you really want, take lessons!
