My long term boyfriend and I are both self-employed and are looking into some health insurance options. I've heard of people before who are only dating but have insurance together. Wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to have a shared health insurance plan without being married in the state of Illinois.

Tnx.

  3. It depends on the state and the company.  Many companies will cover "significant others" if you live together.  Ask the human resource department and find out what your company offers.

  4. Open the phone book and find a local independent agent or search online.  You are looking for individual plans.  The local agent can tell you the situation in Illinois.
