Definityly not! I'm a cheerleading and half the people on the squad aren't popular. I think most cheerleaders are popular because others are too afraid to step out of their comfort zone and break the sterotype. And plus the judges don't even know your social rank so it only really comes down to rather or not you have potential or you're good at cheering. hope this helps!

right now im popular and im a cheerleader and i was popular before being a cheerleader. but because im popular dosent mean im not friends with average people . what im trying to say is it dosent matter who you are you can be a cheerleader no matter what!you just have to have potential.and try your hardest and a little hint always SMILE trust me its very important!!!

normally if your good at it you get popular... short skirts...guys are all over it.

i am a cheerleader and i admit yes i am popular but dont change yourself.

alot of the cheerleaders are.

no, like three ungly as $%&# girls from my class became cheerleaders and no boys like them and their friends who are girls are losers so i think you can be a cheer leader

NO. I have been a cheerleader since 5th grade. I have since graduated from that school and am now a cheerleader at the high school i will be starting at in the fall. I have never been popular. It is just a stereotype. I am not some dumb skinny s**t. I am a normal sized smart girl. Popularity doesn't matter anyway. A couple years ago it meant alot to me but around 6th grade I realized being populer doesn't matter and I stopped trying. Now I am very happy even though I'm not popular.
