I'm not the best at drawing...I'm better at 3D art, so I was just curious about what kind of skills are needed for graphic arts.

  1. You must have the skills of drawing

    hardworking

    Imaginative

  2. The field of graphic design has become predominantly technology-based, so there is not nearly the emphasis on hand illustration skills that there once was. If you are highly skilled in other areas of the field, you should feel confident pursuing a career in graphic design. But be aware, you will still encounter some courses that involve drawing, and you shouldn't avoid them due to lack of skill.

The graphic design field is highly competitive. Seek a learning environment that will help you refine your skills in the areas that may not be your strongest suit.
