Once you release the female into the spawning tank with the male, and he has already built his bubblenest and she is full of eggs, do you have to watch them 24/7 to make sure they don't kill each other or do you just check in on them periodically?

  1. It shouldn't take a whole day for them to spawn. Just until the male puts all the eggs in the nest. When the female looks unconcious take her out. That would be when their done spawning.

  2. ....ok, leave the female in the same tank with the bubble nest and the male, long ebnough for her to unload the eggs

...then - GENTLY - scoop her into a cup and replae her into her own bowl

....after that you can rest easily

...the male is programmed to scoop the eggs with his mouth and blow them into the nest

...the malke will also fan the nest, creating a small current of water movement to sustain some element of fresh water around the eggs

....so, the bowl's water should already be clean....at all Betta Bed-N-Breakfasts

  3. Just check on them every hour i guess..
