Do you have to be very muscular to get an 8 pack?

I know that you don't have to be those big toned guysto have a 6 pack but still have some muscle

anyways i was wondering if you dint have to be those big muscular guys who have 8 packs

I already have a 6 pack but it is not that toned yet

  1. no you dont need to be very muscular, you just need to have a very low bf around 5%, and yes you can get an 8 pack. getting visible abs is more about dieting and cardio then ab exercizes.

  3. There is no such thing as an 8-pack but to get a toned six-pack do sit-yps and crunches and also cardio to burn the fat that covers it up.

    EDIT = NO SUCH THING AS AN EIGHT PACK!!!!!! ONLY SIX MUSCLES IN ABDOMEN. IS IT REALLY THAT HARD TO UNDERSTAND?

  5. i would suggest to eat anything and everything high protein and high carbs for the whole week WHILE WORKING OUT and you will see improvements. If not then just stop and you only lost the week but atleast you gave it a try rather than second guessing what to do...everybody is different so different measures have to be taken

  11. it is best to be lean, and you don't need to be very muscular. However, most people do ab exercises wrong, causing skeletal and soft tissue damage learn to do them correctly. When done correctly the best athletes only do about 30 sit-ups per work out, so very important to get it right.

    Thats not a 6 pack but yes its not completely off a 6 pack. you need to tone it waaaay more.

    you have too much visceral fat and your abs probably don't look like abs unless your tightening them.

    to get your 8 pack you need to get alot of cardio in. interval training. google it... too much to explain but seriously... INTERVAL TRAINING.

    interval sprinting in particular.

    to get from the flabby six to a regular 6 will be no problem at all. but from a 6 to an 8 is hard work. you need to diet too. cut carbs, read up on Gi indexes and basically drop your body fat. it looks to me like its at 18-19% now? you need to get it down to like 6-7%. its not going to be easy.

    get proper carido (interval training) in, do maybe 50 reps for each quadrant (upper50, lower 50 and mid 50) and diet. you should have your 8 pack in about 3 months if your serious about it.
