Do you have to bleach your hair if you dye it green?

I have dark brown hair, and I really don't want to bleach it, but I want to dye it green. Will it mess up my hair of will it just be a really really dark green if I don't bleach it.

The darker your natural hair color, the darker the color will be after you dye it. If you want a bright green, I recommend bleaching it. Just get a really good conditioner so it doesn't fry your hair. Also, if you have natural red highlights/lowlights, get a product called "red out" (add it to the green hair dye) so it doesnt look brassy.

uhm first off why would you dye it green, and yeah you will prolly need to go to a professional and get all the color you put in stripped off, and do some treatments, and then pray it doesnt look like ****.

Of you don't dye it your hair will look really dull.
