  1. No. If you only get your TV from cable/satellite you're not affected. The change is only for over the air (OTA) broadcast signal. Even then you can keep your current TV and just get a digital converter box.

  5. NO it had nothing to do with HD or not. It just has to be a digital signal by then. If you have comcast or millennium you are fine. If you have an old TV that needs a cable box to work, that is who it affects. You will need to get a converter in that case

    Either your current TV does receive that signal, or, in case you have an analog TV, you need a converter box.
