  1. Slop on the 9 is accepted as long as a lower # ball is hit first Your best bet is to ask table rules when only the 9 ball is left on the table, otherwise a slop shot on it is OK

  2. I have never ever heard of calling the nine-ball.  Making the nine wins the game as long as the cue ball hit the lowest-numbered ball on the table first (and no other foul occurred-- if there's a foul, the nine would be spotted and the other person gets ball in hand anywhere on the table).

  3. Maybe its because I am in Texas....but in "Texas Express Rules" the "slopped" 9 ball wins......but different rules for different houses......just check first from the Tournament Director"......usu sally "slop" counts.....if you are playing for money....make sure you know what is what going in.......if slop is going to count..insist that he has to win by two or make the "hill to hill" game be 9 ball last one in!!....if you don't find out you might end up with your  fingers busted up like in "The Hustler".....good luck on the tour

  4. it depends on the rules by most pool games don't call 9 ball.

  5. BCA rules state that no shot must be called, but the first ball by the cue ball on any shot to be struck is the lowest on the table.

So, if it is a legal shot otherwise, then slop counts in 9-ball.

  6. Pro 9 ball  if off a good hit it counts i make it off the break 40% of the time the rest of the time im a headhunter i hardly ever shoot all the balls

  7. no you dont have to call you can slop it in

  8. It really depends on the house rusles. In some games the 9-Ball is to be called when it is your objective ball, and during the course of the game you can make the nine for a win by hitting your objective ball first and pocketing the 9 without calling it. In most of the games I have played the 9 has to be called, if thats the case the trick to that is calling the 9 ball if its possible that it will go in, most places allow this and if you by chance dont make it and still make an otherwise legal shot you can continue shooting.

Always be sure to know the house rules before the game begins, especially if you are going to play for money.

  9. depends entirely on the local table rules.

  10. you have to call it

  11. you win
