We're going to fly from our home town airport to Portland, then Los Angeles and then in Hawaii. Will we need to claim our luggage at portland and Los Angeles or do the airlines automatically move them to the next flight for you?

  1. Nope your luggage will already be transported on to the next flight. So all you have to do is relax and get some food to eat while you wait for your connecting flights.

  2. your luggage will be loaded onto the connecting aircraft

  3. You would only have to recheck your bag, only if you come from a diffrent country and re-connect in a diffrent country. If it is all with the USA then it will automatically move to your next flight.

  4. Flying with a connecting flights takes lots of planning in mind. First ensure all connecting flights status is "OK" not on waitlist in between. Then, if you are flying from Point A to B and later to C with a same Carrier's. Mostly yourself and your luggage with arrived together. This is known as Thorough Check-in procedure for same carrier's.

Otherwise, if you are flying with 2 different Carriers. You may want to ensure that your Luggage has been located and re-tagged with the Transfer Desk personnel.

Point to note: If all sector you are arriving/departing from Domestic Terminal, your luggage will be handled immediately. However, if arrived Domestic and Connecting International Terminal. You need to check on the Minimum Transit Time allowance with the respective Carrier.

This is to ensure both Passengers and Luggage has sufficient allowance for arrangement to transfer to the connecting flights from the respective Airport Terminals.

  5. Dont have to worry about your luggage at alll.,., even if you change airlines or anything.,,.,.

  6. you dont have to claim your luggage every time you stop the airline will transport your luggage to the next airline

    have a nice trip
