Do you have to dive in lifeguard training?

Question

I am taking lifeguard training this week but i don't know how to dive?

You will learn to do a feet first surface dive when you are already in the water to reach somebody underwater but not dives off the wall or anything like that.

I teach Red Cross Lifeguarding classes.

Well, if your taking lifeguard TRAINING im sure they'll teach you how to dive..

But im not sure.

You'll have to learn to dive sooner of later. I couldn't dive for a very long time! Its not that hard you just have to practice! I'm sure they will teach you.
