your best off to get a teeth cleaning before you get braces. I just got my teeth cleaned and I'm getting braces in 2 weeks. That way your teeth don't look all gross and gunky~ good luck*

it's up to you, but it is best that you get a thorough check up prior to getting them on, as in less than a month, closser is better

when i got mine on I cleaned them

because i don't want my teeth to be nasty and yellow

Most orthodontists reccomend a visit for a check-up and cleaning before getting braces to make sure the teeth are clean and have no decay before attaching the brackets and such.....

Many will not put them on until they have a sign-off from the general dentist regarding this...

you can just get them on. I would think that it'd be better to get the cleaning after you get them off. lol

it makes so much more sense.

a cleaning really has nothing to do with getting braces.
