Do you have to enroll in a homeschool to be able to homeschool with Florida Virtual School

i want to become a homeschooled student but right now i'm currently a public school student and to enroll with florida virtual school u have to be enrolled in a physical school so do i have enroll wit h a homeschool to be a full-time florida virtual school student? and if i do what tuition free homeschool would you reccomend?

  1. I believe that Florida Virtual School is a part of the public school system-meaning that while you work at home like a homeschooler, you are not a homeschooler in a traditional sense.  You are considered a public school student.

    I believe that you would use the virtual option while enrolled in your current public school-consult your guidance counselor.


  2. If i'm not mistaken, you have to actually dis enroll from your school to do homeschooling. But you live in Florida, so there's a mandatory class that you must take if you're going to be a freshman. It's called HOPE, and all it is is P.E.

    Also, it's normal for people to not want to go to school, especially freshmen. Trust me, it DOES get so much better after Middle school. People lighten up. Just don't go around trying to impress anybody, and act your own grade. That being if you're a freshman, know you're at the bottom of the food chain, etc.
