Do you have to get a permit to carry a knife around in CO?

Well I might get a crossbow or if I dont get that a baton or not that a hunting knife and I need to know. Do you need a permit to carry a hunting knife around Colorado towns. I live in littleton so any people from that area please answer.

  1. It depends on the length of the knife.  If it has more than a three inch blade no you can't.  you can't carry it into any government buildings without being POST certified.  


  2. they say to use California as the basis for all knife laws because they are generally the strictest when it comes to knives.  (except for places like NYC)    You can have a hunting knife with you if you are hunting, or by yourself at home,  you can not walk around in public with a knife visible, (strapped to your belt or boot or anything)  If your town will give you a permit then great, but most places will not.  kinda lame
