  1. You should in case someone gets hurt. Your homeowners ins will not cover it.

  2. You need to know that you might receive some "grief" from your homeowner insurance carrier as on your application, there was probably a question like "Is there any business conducted on premises?"

If you originally answered NO and now the answer will be YES.... it could be considered as an "increase in hazard" and the company could deny claims.

Best thing to do is to ask your agent or find a LOCAL independent agent that can help you with BOTH of your needs.

Good luck and I hope this helps!

  3. Some homeowners policies will "extend" liability for business pursuits like this for $50-$100 per year. If they won't, their is another policy call "In Home Business" through RLI Insurance (you need to go through an independent broker) for $150 per year. Buy the insurance - cheap way to protect yourself!

  4. Yes, contact an insurance agent.

  5. yea just to be sure
