Do you have to get into an advanced science class for IMSA?

I wanted to know because im goin into eigth grade and i wanted to know if i needed that kinda class. I'm going to do Algebra, although I did do it over the summer. Also, did you have to be in like math or science groups to get in? Former or just anybody plz help me!!!!!

I'm about to start my first year at IMSA and I came from a small school that didn't offer advanced science classes but I still got in. So you don't have to take the class but I HIGHLY advise that you do. It will really help you. Good luck! Applying can be stressful.
