  1. No, if you do not apply to be stationed together you won't be.

    If you elect not to be stationed together, you most likely will not be (unless your career field requires it)

    I have had people who did not want to be stationed together because they were getting divorced, one person was retiring/separating and did not want to get picked up for an assignment and once somebody "needed" to go to Korea and the spouse stayed in the CONUS with the kids.   Its really nobody's business why you don't want to be stationed with your spouse.  


  2. No.  Under the married couples program, however, they will TRY to station you within a specified distance of each other.  This does NOT mean that you could/would not be stationed in Germany and your spouse be stationed in Korea, for example.
