  1. To drive a forklift, you need to be eighteen and be trained by your employer on the hazards and techniques of operating in your workplace.  You do not need any additional certification or training beyond that.

The OSHA Forklift Page is here:  http://www.osha.gov/SLTC/poweredindustri...

Some companies also have training programs you can buy for your employer to use.  This one has a forklift training program.  http://www.affordablesafetytraining.com/

  2. You should go for the diploma for what ever you do.

There is a lot of competition out there.

That way it will be easier to further your education when you are ready.

  3. i doubt you need a college edgucation because people who work in like sams and home depot who operate a forklift usually only get paid minimum wage so whats the point of going to college anyway if your just getting paid miniumum wage.Go to college do ROTC (Reserve Officers Training Corp) and then join the Air Force as an officer the pays better any way and all you got to do is do what they tell easy no thinking involved.
