  1. If you own the private lake or have permission to fish in a private lake, you don't.  You do need a fishing license to fish in any river or bay, etc. even if you are fishing on private property.

  3. You do not need a license to fish on any private lake or pond as long as you have the land owners permission to be there.

    now a Game Warden can make your life miserable if he stops you on your way home...at that point someone has to prove where you were fishing ( happened to a buddy of mine )

    But by the letter of the law the only time you need a license is when you are fishing in public waters ( lakes,ponds,rivers etc )
