Do you have to have a gift to see the paranormal or do you believe that... a camera can capture paranormal beings? Sorry if I sound silly but people always claim to have seen ghosts manifest themselves and they have special abilities but some people claim to have taken pictures of them also?

  1. Yes and your zipper's down

    made you look

  2. If you go by that "believe none of what you hear etc... then you are not going to believe nothing any one of us says ;so why bother to ask?

  3. I don't think you have to have a gift to research and document the paranormal.  I do just that.  Have I seen the paranormal, I'm assuming you mean "ghost's".  Well, on a few occasions, yes I have.

The concept of paranormal is much more than seeing ghosts.  For example-- in the last few weeks- I've exp.  1 very thick dark shadow that I actually rounded a corner to see again.  It was unexplainable.  I've had a lamp go off all on it's own as I was getting up to go turn it off (it was on the other side of the room).  A TV that was off- turned on the other night all on it's own after an EVP session.  Lastly- we have 2 medicine cabinets in our bathroom.  Of late, they both seem to be wide open- even though I'll double check they're closed.  These would all be paranormal event's, but I'm not actually seeing the activity occur.

As for seeing "ghosts".  I have several times seen a ghost.  I've also caught one apparitional face.  Very clear, not matrixing involved.  It's of a men, that I have seen once.  He is the only full bodied apparition I've seen though.

As for being psychic- or having a "gift".  My husband is much more sensitive.  He has seen a lot more than I ever have.

However, we both do research- and we both contribute the same.  We both have exp. some very weird phenomenon's.  The one thing that separate's us.  He'll see "more".  BUT... not usually on an investigation.  Things come to him- when he's at home relaxed.

I've documented quite a few of our exp- and I'm adding more daily.  Don't be afraid to check it out.

  4. No, I don't believe you need a gift to see ghosts.  I know people with absolutely no "gifts" who have seen paranormal activity. I've taken some amazing photos using just about any type of camera, even Polaroids.  Some investigators say that digital cameras don't produce viable results; the nature of a digital camera is that it illuminates even particles in the air as the pic is snapped.  This gives a false "orb" that is merely dust.  Someday, I'll hit the lottery and buy my group an infrared camera!

  5. I do not believe that there is some special gift required tro see anything.  If it is there and it is visible, all should be able to see it.  And it should be able to be videotaped.  IR (Infra Red) imaging is another matter of dicussion entirely.

And Light W......What if the dead contact you?  Does the Bible say ignore them?

  6. You bring up a valid point.

I believe many of those who report seeing ghosts jump the gun.  Many people believe in the paranormal *a priori* and are perfectly willing to offer a paranormal explanation for something that is not paranormal at all.  That being said, I don't believe this to be the case for all people who report paranormal events.

Although I believe the vast majority of paranormal sightings have normal explanations, it's possible a small number of claims may have some merit.  However, based on the evidence at hand, I don't believe in ghosts or spirits.  This leads me to the tenuous conclusion that some people are indeed experiencing what they perceive to be ghosts, but this experience does not exist objectively and independently of the person observing the event.  In other words, the ghost doesn't exist, but it does exist for the person seeing it.

  7. I believe that if you are open to the universe you will see many things!

  8. you dont have to have a gift in order to see them i believe that you can capture manifestations on IR cameras and digital cameras, but there are people who do claim to be able to see spirits it all depends on you and how in tune with the spiritual world you are.

  9. You don't sound silly at all. The only silly question is the one that you don't ask. :-)

I don't believe that you have to have a "gift" per se in order to be able to see paranormal things. My best friend has seen a ghost and she is as psychic as a brick!

  10. It saw something strange and then the next minute my fish was dead. I am not sure If everyone or just some people can see the paranormal.

  11. Paranormal is defined as "Beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation"

If you accept this definition, then it is not so difficult to accept it.

For example, Bats may be near blind but they fly by using ultrasonic sensors. If science hasn't given us an explanation, this could be considered paranormal.

Some insects see in infrared, so what is paranormal to us may be normal to them.

Many reported sightings of paranormal objects may be just optical anomalies or other infractions and have simple explanations but not known to the observers.

But I believe that there can be some genuine paranormal sightings that are currently beyond our scientific knowledge that we can at the present moment call them paranormal.

However, scientific methods require that the observation can be repeated, results predicted and verified by peers.

So, as far as our sensory capabilities are concerned, different people will have a varying ability to see, hear, smell, feel, and taste. Note that dogs have 1000X greater sensitivity than our human sense of smell. So, I believe some of us can smell much better than others. It is probably true for sight, and touch, and other sensors.

Maybe there is a 6th sense that has not been nailed down by science yet.

  12. your right to question it, but I think you are still giving too much credit to myths and stories.

It used to be a challenge to take perfect pictures if you were a photographer. Now, everyone can take perfect photos, and if there is something wrong with it, then it must be a ghost. Honestly, almost all of what Ive seen for photographs is simply bad photography with known picture taking problems, or obvious fakes.

Seeing paranormal beings? Well, I guess we can only take the word of the person who makes the claim. However, I find that at least 90% of the time when people see spirits manifest, and your sure they arent lying, they have done so in thier sleep or have some kind of sleeping disorder which can cause hallucinations.

  13. One needs an open mind to experience the paranormal.

Now some, yes, are born with a gift which enables them to see and feel spirits without much effort, but some have to develop their senses and concentrate on it for years before they really experience anything.

And I agree with that quote, that's a good one.

  14. No you don't have to have a "gift", It doesn't matter if  you are a skeptic or not you just need an open mind and the ability to do some investigative research to confirm or disprove what you are experiencing. Look for a logical explanation to any "ghostly" activity and when you can't explain it away with logic or science you are left with evidence. Many pictures have been taken of Paranormal activity and some of the best were taken by accident from people who were just taking what they thought were regular pictures. Polaroids seem to be very successful at capturing  Paranormal activity. You can also try using a digital voice recorder to get EVP activity in a suspected haunted area. Good Luck ! I hope this info helps!
