  1. Do a web search for "electric bicycle".

E-bikes are limited to 20 mph, and do not require a lisence, but you do need insurance. Add it on to your homeowners policy.

  2. Whats the idea? Making a bomb?

I dont think you need a license for attaching a piece of scrap to another

  3. In  many states, electric assist ebikes are legal if less than 750watts, good pedals and the assist cuts out at 20mph, but in some you need a drivers license.

in most states you need a license for a gasoline assist bike.

so "google" your state along with your type of assist - gas or electric, and the word "statute".

that should give you more info... then also  check your city.

    good luck.

  4. As you probably know there are a number of electric bicycles around that travel at about 15MPH Max. these I know do not require a license.

There are many rules and regulations governing power assisted bicycles, I suggest you contact the Department of Transport, for full clarification.

    Have fun.

  5. To my knowledge these types of two stroke gasoline motors are illegal in many states due to the level of pollution they emit.  However, electric bicycles should not require any license to operate.  Check with your local Motor Vehicles Bureau.
