Can I play the new BLU RAY disc on a regular dvd player or do I have to buy something new?

  1. You have to buy something new.  A Playstation 3 has a built-in Blu Ray disc drive, so it can play them.  You're only other option is a dedicated Blu Ray player... but it will be able to play your old DVDs too.


  2. You have only 2 choices for playing a Blu Ray disk.

    1) Play Station 3

    2) Stand Alone BluRay player.

    A regular DVD player will not play BluRay or HDDVD.
