Do you have to have an o****m to get pregnant?

Okay, so I'm 23, but I've heard various things. The one thing you have to understand is that in the high schools here in South Carolina they teach you your reproductive organs that you ovulate, men ejaculate, and that abstinence is the only way to do things. Someone once told me that you have to have an o****m to get pregnant. My cousin said that his daughter was conceived without an o****m. Can someone please help me out without criticism and remarks about my stupidity! I feel stupid enough for asking, but this has been bugging me for a while. My husband and I are talking about attempting to get pregnant and I want to know if it's true so that I can assist him in the TTC process.

No woman rarely ever actually have orgasms during s*x, a female o****m isn't needed to become pregnant and actually if a female does have an o****m it would have to be after the male does because a female o****m can produce hostile cervical mucus that can kill the sperm.

No, if that was rue there would be a LOT less babies!!  lol  If you want really good info on TTC read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility".  She gives you straight answers in really understandable terms and will help you get pregnant as soon as possible!  I wish someone had told me about this book a long time ago!!!!  Now I am trying to tell everyone so they won't have to wait 8 years for a baby like I did!!!

Seriously though, if you're trying to get pregnant there are lots of different ways to go about it.  After s*x, try elevating your pelvis above your stomach a little.  Gravity can be your friend.

no dont worry you dont have to orgasam to fal pregnant it just makes it easier cause when you orgasam the muscles pull the sperm up

You dont need to have an o****m but obviously the man does.

When he has his o****m he ejaculates.

When he ejaculates the sperm enters your v****a.

When the sperm enters your v****a it is possible that you will fall pregnant.

There is no reason why you need to have an o****m in order  to fall pregnant,  but it doesnt hurt does it. :)

No you do not have to have an o****m to fall pregnant. However there is no harm in them so you and your husband should certainly try and have as much fun as you can with TTC as it can get very strict and boring for you both otherwise

no, you don't, and neither does the guy actually.

It increases your chances of getting pregnant if he does (of course) because more sperm would be released, but there ARE sperm in his pre-ejaculatory fluid (his natural lube).  Chances also increase if YOU have an o****m after he has ejaculated because the cervix actually dips down and can pick up more s***n into the uterus.  

So yes, if you want to get pregnant, you can help!!!  I also saw on a show in the Discovery channel or something that if you're in missionary position with your hips slightly elevated, that can help, too, because that angle allows for optimum s***n to the cervix.

I'm trying to get pregnant at the moment, as well. I've been reading up on TTC and I've read several places that it is not necessary to have an o****m. A few sites said it may help the process a little by lubricating the way sperm gets in, but it's not an iron clad rule of getting pregnant.

No, the woman does not need to have an o****m to get pregnant.

They say the chance to get pregnant of a boy is larger when the woman has an o****m just before the man. And chances for a girl, the woman shouldn't have a o****m. This has to do with the environment getting sourish.

No, a female does not have to o****m in order to get pregnant, but studies show that it DOES help if a woman orgasms after a man has ejaculated inside of her, the contractions of the woman's body actually helps to "pull" the sperm into her.  Don't worry about feeling stupid, there are many really stupid questions out here, yours was valid.
