  1. In my country; there is a need or someone would complain of privacy.

  2. If installed by the government into public areas or places LIKE STREETS or corners, the government do not required permit to use CCTV, because these cameras are used for public order or monitor trouble zone in the city. Just like in some parts in Britain for instance they install CCTV.

Another CCTV which is trained onto public areas are cameras from banks they put it outside the premises for possible robbery or suspicious characters outside the bank which they do not have to ask a permission because they are controlling the movement of people outside their premises which is accordance to their own policy.

ALSO at homes, they have CCTV cameras trained outside the premises, this are private home owners who believe that camera may alert them of possible burglars about to stage a robbery. Will they have to apply for a permit on these? Of course not, these are personal and private matters no need for the government permits.

WHAT IS THE MAIN USE OF A CCTV cameras in the first place? MONITORING obviously, defending on who uses them. CCTV cameras on toilets are different matters or story.

  3. I have an 8 camera system all around my house. The only requirement that can protect you from someone crying "invasion of privacy" is EVERY camera MUST show YOUR property in the majority of the view. If it happens to show public property, oh well, as long as YOUR property is the main focus. If someone has an issue, tell them to walk further away from your house. For example, if you HAVE to park across the street and it is your normal parking spot, you can point a camera on your vehicle. Yes it isn't ON your property, but your vehicle is your property and if the camera is focused strictly on your car, it is NOT illegal.
