my mom really wants me to try out for the baseball team. It is a bunch of politics, and the circumstances make it very difficult to make the team for me.

Can I pursue my dream to be a play-by-play broadcaster for an MLB team without college, or even high school baseball experience???

  1. Sure you can. You don't have to be a player or sports major in college or anything like that, you just have to be GOOD. I mean really good! There are very few jobs for play-by-play announcers and it's something many many people want to do.

Sometimes they will hire an experienced sports figure to do 'color', to explain stuff from the player's point of view. But these people, if they have any talent at all, they are never the play-by-play announcer, they are just helping him. Play-by-play is actually very difficult, and few people do it really well.

  2. yes i have a degree in broadcasting. does that mean you have a job for me??
