  1. you are misusing the word faith and giving it the same meaning as belief in your sentence.     I will answer your question litterally as you asked it.   Believing that faith exists is easy.  Its just like beliving any other emotion or feeling exists.   So you have to have faith in a belief.

Yeah i know alot of people call it "their faith"  But in reality they are just using the word wrong unless they say "their faith IN <whatever they believe in>" then its wrong.  They should be just calling it "their belief"

  2. The belief comes first, then the faith.

  3. Belief has attained the level of faith when it motivates life and shapes the mode of living. The acceptance of a teaching as true is not faith; that is mere belief. Neither is certainty nor conviction faith. A state of mind attains to faith levels only when it actually dominates the mode of living. Faith is a living attribute of genuine personal religious experience. One believes truth, admires beauty, and reverences goodness, but does not worship them; such an attitude of saving faith is centered on God alone, who is all of these personified and infinitely more.

  4. Faith in the belief. You can believe in something, but if you have no real faith in it, it's almost like not beliving in it at all.

  5. I believe in faith because I'm a believer I mean belief in a faith .

  6. Yes.

  7. When faith is in true knowledge, it's proven to be true, and so is no longer faith, but truth. The only need is truth.

  8. So when you have enough faith in something do you then have belief that is i real?  I am struggling with faith right now just put in my thoughts though.

  9. Faith is a container of beliefs and does not exist without them.

Example: (I have faith in a higher power.)

This implies that I believe this higher power exists, is loving, is kind, has my best interest in mind etc... A series of beliefs leading to an intuited pattern which I then can extend beyond the known. This can easily create the illusion that by faith I am believing in something without reason.

You do not have to have Faith in a belief or Belief in faith.

You cannot escape belief (you "will" believe something about a thing once you become aware of it) and your faith in it will grow with the number of beliefs you have about it.

  10. This means the same both ways.....faith is define as believing in certain dogmatic principles.     We search subconsciously for a better, smarter, the one we will never achieve .which we call god or the eternal etc.In actual fact we are in search our real self which is filed with the divine..part of..not it. In advance state of consciousness ...some yogi, saints actually blend ......become so entangle with the divine ..that they are one light or spirit.

  11. To me faith is like tentative hope.  I have faith that you will choose me as the best answer.  To believe is like knowing or truth.  Once you choose mine as the best answer I'll claim that I believed you would the entire time.

so faith in a belief: I hope it is true

belief in a faith: that hope is true

edit:oops so to answer the question without too many more questions i'd say

a person starts out with faith in a belief and if that does not turn into belief in a faith then there is a good chance they could lose faith.

  12. Interesting question!

I believe you must have both. On one hand, you must have faith in what you  believe in and on the other hand, you must believe in your faith. Faith to be strong must ever be consistent on what you think is right. And the belief you are into must be also be substantiated as this is your faith.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

  13. This is actually a lot more complex than one may think!

Faith is a trust in something unproven whereas belief is when you have an understanding that something is true!!

I believe that I did not quite answer your question here, but I have faith that you may consider this?

To actually give you an answer, I would think that you would have to have belief in a faith to make it feasible.

Very interesting and I shall be looking forward to reading the responses you receive.

    Good luck.
