Do you have to have itunes to download music on to your ipod?

Like i have limewire and windows vista (windows media player)

can i download it through there or do i have to have itunes?

Download limewire and don't download bearshare it slows your computer down. Ohh and if you use limewire don't keep uploading your itunes because the newest itunes available charges money for each thing you put on your ipod.

you HAVE to have itunes.....I know it's really annoying.....the only way to put stuff in your ipod like videos and music is by syncing it.. the only way to do that is with itunes

download limewire on your computer no thru itunes.  You can download songs on limewire and just drag them to an itunes playlist

yes you do i have had such a bad experiance with  windows or whatever. it blew a fues in our com and gave us a vires.

Yes, you need iTunes, because the iPod touch cannot be put into disk mode.

to get your limewire music to itunes you highlight all your songs on limewire and drag it to itunes.

while Itunes os the perferred place to sync music and movies, it is not the only option. you can use your computer's media player to sync as well. windows media player will sync to an ipod, but limewire will not. i would download itunes though,because if there is ever a problem, you will always have that.

I personally use third party software to make my ipod into a jump drive and not limit myself to one music library (floola, yamipod, sharepod)

But I have classic, not touch, don't know if that makes a dif
