Do you have to have some sort of certificate to be a teaching aide in Texas?

for a teacher's aide, no, but if you want more pay, you need to have a college degree compared to just a high school dipolma. Each district has to follow state rules.You can become a sbustitue teacher with just your high school dipolma in Texas. With a college degree you do get more pay for subbing but you still don't have to have a teaching certificate.
