Do you have to have some sort of degree to home school your own children?

i have nothing more then a grade 12 and i wanted to home school my children is there some sort of law that your children have to go to school

  1. Remember that the social aspect of school is something that you can't compensate for, things like working with others including kids they are not friends with, and also the experience that teachers have in assisting children to learn.


  2. It depends on what state you are from. In Missouri my sister wanted to homeschool her kids and she was told that she doesn't have to have a degree but she does need to pay so much money for the textbooks and study materials. You probably want to call your local school board and see what they recommend as far as home schooling goes.

      I home schooled my kids in Okla and I don't even have a high school diploma. When I put mine back in school in Missouri .. my kids were way ahead of the others in their classes.
