Do you have to have two sub pre amp out puts or just two plain preamp outputs to hook up multilple subs ?

i want to hook up four 12's but i dont know if need two sub preamp outputs or just a any outputs will work? thank you

  1. all you need is a rca spliter out to each amp


  2. that all depends on your amps and if you have a decent deck

    but in general all you need is a rear line out from deck and if your using two amps on the four subs use the pass through to send signal too the other amp.

    but in all reality the total lack of control over the signal sucks

    if your lucky you have at least one amp with a remote k**b for gain and boost amount control so it would be fine to use just a plain old rear line out from the deck just remember to set the crossover on the amp to lowpass.   oh i amost forgot the make these little splitters for rca's but they cut down on the signal so not always a good option
