Do you have to have windows vista to play The Sims 3?

Not necassarily.

It will work on lower-end XP computers too.

You can either use Windows Vista 32-bit, or 64-bit (but not the Alienware Area51 Aurora, this uses 120-bit).

So yes, you will be able to play it on that, but you don't necessarily need Vista, XP is ok.

And if you have a tuned Windows 98 then it will work fine, too.

Just make sure you have more than 1.5 gb-ram on your Vista. And 1 Gigabyte RAM on your XP.

Graphics card 125 or higher... and DUO processor (or you can have the Triple-Core or the Quad-Core).

No you don't because Sims 3 was built to work on weak computers and doesn't have to many details then The Sims 2. It's coming February 20 2009, can't wait !!!!!!!!

i dunno lol love the sims but is this sims 3 new pls tell me and i will try and find out if it will work on other windows
