Do you have to keep the files you uploaded on your hard drive to share them, or are they on another server?

In bittorrent there is no server.  Individuals distribute the files.

If you wish to keep sharing, you have to have the files on your computer.

The torrent can still stay alive, if you delete, if others have downloaded 100% and are staying to upload.

i think the word "upload" means you take somthing off and put onto somthing else....so in that case they are on a server somewhere and taking them off your computer shouldnt hinder someone else from downloading
