Do you have to negate battle phase trap cards?

Question

Do u hve to negate battle phase trap cards (like magic cyclinder, sak armor)?

Can u mystical space ty[hoon or dust tornadoe it?

my classmates say only 7 tools of the dit, and trap jammer and stuff that says "negate the activation and effect" works

sm other guy says its same spell speed and dustornadoe can negate sakeretsus and stuff

Mystical Space Typhoon and Dust Tornado ,as the card effect says, only destroy a spell or trap card so it does not negate the effect of ones that are activated with the exception of continuous spell/trap cards...

He is right. The only way to negate is to have negate in the cards effect.  Otherwise the effect can still go through.

if the card has the quick play symbol on it then you cal play it when ever you want
