  2. absolutely not. It is considered an external storage area. You have to buy one though. If anybody is trying to charge you call the Better Business Bureau on them.

  3. No.  It's an additional drive that you own and can do what you want with it.  The only bill is the one you got when you bought it!  

  4. No, you just stick it in and use it whenever you want.  Heck, I've even gotten all my flash drives for free from pharmaceutical companies.  One of the perks from working in a clinic.  Lol

    However, you may be thinking about a usb that provides an internet connection through a mobile company carrier. In that case there usually is a monthly fee involved.
