    you just have to pay back federal and private loans.

    try your hardest not to borrow alot b/c consolidation is not really an option any more. alot of lenders have gotten rid of their consolidation programs.

  7. No, grant do not have to be paid back.  Federal, State and private industry grants most often are given based on the applicants financial need and other criteria.

    You can apply for a grant at the college you are planning to attend. If you are still in high school, discuss grant applications with your counselor. In the meantime try: www.collegescholarships.org for links and articles regarding college grants, Federal and State.
