I used to think you had to pay as well. But i finally tried it and i saw on my bill that it didn't charge. No need to worry. It's all FREE. But if you have Verizon and you want a ringtone you have to follow what it says.

yeah it says free but they charged my cell phone bill so i would never even think about doin that again
